Current AI’s mission is to build open and auditable technology in collaboration with our global alliance of researchers, philanthropists, governments, and industry leaders. Our role is to create the conditions for the public-interest AI movement to flourish, by bringing the right people to the table, building the missing pieces, and bridging aligned initiatives and ideas.
Together, we will launch the first fully integrated, public-interest AI stack. Designed to be used, audited, and improved upon by anyone, all in the name of the public’s best interest.
The new frontier in is embodied AI, and it needs to be open, personal, and multilingual. We partnered with India's government-backed Bhashini to develop a platform that empowers communities to make their own physical AI devices: multimodal, supports 22 official languages, entirely self-contained, runs AI models locally, and requires no internet connection.
